Storms can cause nasty damage especially in basements

The rain water flooded the basement causing it to have standing water in it for a few days. We were able to carefully extract it and begin the cleanup process. There was a lot of wet materials that needed to be thrown out. Flood cuts are a normal procedure in cases where there has been flooding.
SERVPRO of Ozone Park/Jamaica Bay uses specialized equipment to help with the drying process after a storm has caused flooding. The equipment is placed strategically after wet materials have been removed and the damaged area disinfected. There are times when pressure washing is necessary depending on how much dirt is left after the flooding.
